Our clinics are associated and within National Pharmacies Optical at Newton and Marden. Mark is from a family of optometrists and was born and educated in Port Augusta before studying at the University of Adelaide and University of NSW. After graduating, he worked in the Barossa before working in various practices around Adelaide. Mark is proud to offer high quality eye care for clients of all ages in Newton and Marden.

Since 2001 Mark O’Connor is the optometrist who conducts eye examinations and eye services. Mark is also a qualified prescriber of ocular medications and will see patients who have urgent sore eye or similar problem, just ring and let reception know.

With clinics attached to National Pharmacies Optical at Newton and Marden, Mark offers a comprehensive range of eye examinations, eye services and assessments that your vision needs. Mark will provide the care and advice on how to best look after your eyes at all stages of life.
Mark receives no commission from the purchase of glasses, we mostly bulk bill to Medicare, so there is a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to prescribe glasses unless necessary. If you do need spectacles, Mark will give you a copy of your prescription so that you are able to purchase your glasses with no pressure from Mark. This means you are getting honest advice and instructions on how to best care for your eyes.
